| These colorful pendants are made from tagua nuts, found all over the Amazon rainforests! It is a special tree (also called ivory palm) which produces these nuts, and in turn supports the employment of the indigenous people who have used them for all sorts of jewelry and carved objects since the 19th century. The income they receive is a strong incentive to maintain the trees, and helps to stabilize the rainforest, and ultimately, world environments!
